One footprint, five honest options
We stock and source to the 1200 x 800 Euro footprint only. Each page says plainly what is marked, what is not, and what has to be confirmed for your order.

Where most enquiries actually go wrong
Size confused with pool status
A 1200 x 800 pallet is Euro-format. That is a footprint, not a licence. EPAL is a trademark and quality pool, and only licensees may produce or repair pallets carrying EPAL marks.
Tell them apartMarks assumed rather than read
Buyers often accept “EPAL” on a delivery note without reading the corner blocks, the IPPC mark on the centre block, the control staple or the repair nail. Photographs settle it in minutes.
See the reference specBorder rules read as brand rules
Plant-health requirements follow the movement, not the brand. Solid wood packaging crossing between Great Britain and the EU has to meet ISPM 15 treatment and marking requirements.
ISPM 15 explainedPallet checker
Eight questions. A cautious answer, not a certificate.
Work through footprint, construction, material, markings, repairs, route and packing. The checker returns careful categories — “likely Euro-format”, “marking needs checking”, “route needs a freight or plant-health check” — and never tells you that a consignment is compliant.

Knowledge centre
Compliance reading written for people booking freight, with primary sources rather than opinions. Guidance checked 10 September 2026.
ISPM 15 explained
What the international standard covers, what the mark on the block means, and why the mark rather than a certificate is the evidence checked at the border.
GB to EU and EU to GB movements
How wood packaging is treated when it crosses between Great Britain and the EU, and how Northern Ireland is handled separately.
Importer and exporter checklist
A practical pre-loading walk-through for anyone booking freight on timber pallets, from marking checks to record keeping.
Wooden or plastic Euro pallets
Weight, hygiene, repairability, plant-health scope and closed-loop economics compared, without pretending one always wins.
PPWR watch
Regulation (EU) 2025/40 is an EU-market packaging framework, not a border pass. What it is, when it applies, and who should be checking it.
Euro sizes and warehouse compatibility
How the 1200 x 800 footprint behaves in racking, in trailers and in containers, and where it sits against other European formats.
Frequently asked questions
Short, cautious answers to the questions we are asked most often about Euro pallets, EPAL marks and border movements.

Import and export work, handled carefully
If your pallets cross a border, the questions change. We help you specify heat-treated, ISPM 15 marked timber where treatment and marking can be confirmed, or move you to plastic where wood packaging is the wrong tool for the job. We do not issue compliance certificates and we do not give legal advice.
